Native to Southeast Asia the Pygmy Date Palm (Phoenix Roebelenii) is widely distributed throughout moist tropical and subtropical regions of the world. Everybody can get this lovely specimen from nurseries or garden stores.

The great centres of the Pygmy Date Palm distribution are in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.

This is a true favorite among gardeners in the Southern United States. The lovely tree is extensively grown in Hawaii, Southern Coastal California, Southern Arizona, Southern Texas, Southern Lousiana and Southern Florida.

In Australia and New Zealand Phoenix Roebelenii is a very popular ornamental for decorating landscaping designs.

This miiature palm is also very popular in Southeast Asia where it is originated from.
